NJ motor vehicle accidents: Engaged couple among victims

According to family sources, a couple who was planning to marry next month will never get the opportunity to celebrate that April wedding. The woman has become the latest victim of fatal New Jersey motor vehicle accidents. In total, six vehicles were caught up in the deadly collision.

The report stated that the vehicle carrying the engaged couple was traveling down a local road when an SUV headed south struck them. The impact killed the 39-year-old woman. Her 42-year-old fiance was critically injured in the wreck. Family stated that he will have an extended recovery ahead of him provided he survives his wounds.

The SUV that police believe caused the accident was carrying three occupants all from the same family. The collision killed an adult woman who was the daughter of the driver. The driver and a child were transported for medical care. It is unknown if anyone else in the other vehicles involved suffered any injuries.

New Jersey officials are still investigating this horrific wreck, and it has not been determined what charges -- if any -- may possibly be filed against the driver who is allegedly at fault. Regardless of the outcome of the official accident investigation, the injured parties and surviving family members may choose to pursue civil litigation against the driver believed to have caused their physical and emotional pain and suffering. As is the case in serious motor vehicle accidents, the physical recoveries are only part of the process; there are often crippling debts from medical bills and lost wages that compound the stress that makes these ordeals even worse. Successful civil suits may alleviate the pressures that stem from these monetary damages.
